Thank you for choosing to send your camper to Stone Canyon Summer Camp. We are excited to have a great summer with our new and returning campers.

This section of the website is for you to keep track of details, find frequently asked questions, and help you and your camper feel fully prepared for the summer. If you still have questions we always encourage you to send an email or call!

  • When preparing for camp we encourage you to pack wisely, consider the weather and the length of camp.  Be sure to label all items clearly with your name or initials - clothing and items will be misplaced, and labeled items are easier to return.

Please do not pack more than one large duffel bag or suitcase, as space is limited in the bunks.

Have your camper do most of the packing, or have them help you pack so they know what they brought to camp and where to find it!

Keep in mind that items sent to camp may not come back in the same condition that they were sent in - camp is a great place to send older, but still usable, items.

    Find the packing list here.

  • Our address is 12163 S Perry Park Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118.

  • Arrival for all Overnight Camp sessions is on the first day (Sunday) of the session from 1:30-3:00pm. We cannot accommodate arrivals before 1:30pm.

Check-in will include checking for submission of required paperwork, reviewing adults authorized to pick-up your camper, medication/mail drop-off, and a health-screening, as required by state licensing. Please plan for the check-in stations to take about 30 minutes.

After check-in, you will walk your child to our Sports Field, where they can meet camp staff, connect with other campers, play sports games, and work on arts & crafts while waiting for check-in to finish. Please note parking on our site is limited, so plan to be on your way after saying goodbye to your camper so we can accommodate other arrivals.

Departure of all Overnight Camp sessions is on the last day (Friday) of the session from 5:30-6:30pm.

Check-out will include signing out campers to authorized pick-ups (with photo ID), reviewing camp store funds, the option to buy apparel, and turning in medications from the nurse.

  • Our infirmary is staffed 24/7 by a licensed nurse and is a welcoming environment for kids who may feel a little under the weather. Our nurse is always on-site to handle the distribution of medications and to respond to any emergencies that may arise.

At Stone Canyon, medications are defined as prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, topical creams, and supplements.

A medication form is required for all medications - prescription, over-the-counter, topical creams, or supplements. This form is not complete unless it has a signature from a physician and a parent/guardian. We cannot administer any medications without a completed form.

All medications will be turned in during check-in to our camp nurse. You will have an opportunity to speak with the nurse to review your campers’ medical needs.

Any leftover medication at the end of the week will be returned at check-out.

We have stock orders and a supply of the following medications: Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Benadryl, burn cream, calagel (anti-itch gel), cough drops, Tums, and Zrytec. The nurse will administer these medications as needed if permission was given during registration.

  • Camp mail will be distributed in the afternoon each day Monday - Thursday.

Letters and packages can be dropped off during check-in; please include your campers’ name(s) and the day you would like items to be distributed on the outside of the item.

Letters/packages can also be sent via traditional mail - please plan for the mail to take a few days to reach us and be thoughtful about when you send the items!

Campers are permitted one care package each week of camp - we do not have room to store excessive/oversized packages. Packages may not include food, candy, gum, or drinks. Please consider if your camper needs items sent in care packages - we often see care package items end up in the trash. Great ideas include photos, books, or journals. You can drop off care packages during check-in or mail them.

You may also write to your camper via e-mail (mail@stonecanyonedge.org) - please limit to one email per camper each day. Your camper will not be able to respond via e-mail, but we do encourage all campers to send letters home. Emails will be printed Monday - Thursday at 1pm and distributed that afternoon. Please include your campers’ name as the subject line.

  • Campers have the chance to visit our camp store each day during free time. Here they can purchase Gatorade, snacks, and apparel.

Parents can deposit money into their camper’s accounts online (Camp Store) and check on the balance during check-in.

Food and drink items cost $1-2 and campers are limited to 2 food items and 1 drink item per day. A typical camper spends $15-30 at the camp store on food/drink items each week.

Apparel items range in price from $2-$50 and include stickers, water bottles, sweatshirts, and more - you can find all of our apparel offerings here.

Camp store account money is non-refundable when the campers account is below $5.00. Since these accounts are non-refundable, any remaining fund can applied towards apparel purchases during pick-up or donated to camp. All donations will be used to support future summer camp tuition assistance.

  • Per our state licensing, the following paperwork is required for all Overnight Camp attendees:

    • Health Physical Form - mandatory for all campers, must be completed by a Physician or approved Health Care provider and have been completed in the last 12 months

    • Current Immunization Record or Immunization Exemption Form - mandatory for all overnight and day campers, must be completed and signed by a physician. State law determines that we can only accept the Colorado Certificate of Immunizations form only. This form must be filled out and signed by a physician (for example, you cannot attach a different form and write “see attached”, the Colorado form itself must be filled out by the physician.)

    • Medication Release Form (only required if medications are being sent to camp) - for any prescriptions, over-the-counters, topical creams, or supplements. This form is not complete unless it has a signature from a physician and a parent/guardian. We cannot administer any medications without a completed form.

Ideally, all forms are uploaded into your Active account one week prior to Sunday check-in. Forms can also be emailed to registration@stonecanyonedge.org or physical copies can be brought to check-in.

  • Stone Canyon uses SmugMug to post camp photos. We will send you a link for the private gallery of your camper's session at the beginning of the week.

We strive to get a photo of each child every day, thanks for understanding that our main focus is ensuring campers safety and running a fun program.

We will aim to upload photos at the end of each day; thanks for your patience as our rural camp internet can be slow!
